Learn about my journey...

I'm Alisa

I am a board certified and licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario. I am currently practicing in Durham region of the GTA.

I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2019, one of only two Naturopathic medical schools in Canada. Here, I received my doctorate in Naturopathy. During my internship, I spent a year on the Pediatric focus shift, where I learned in-depth naturopathic care for children of all ages from an experienced Naturopathic doctor. In 2015, I graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science.

Small changes create lifelong habits

What I love about my journey throughout the years I spent completing my doctorate is that not only have I learned about medicine, health, and how to treat patients, but also how to take charge of my own life to make positive, lasting changes.

My main goal for any patient is to remind you that you are in charge of your own health! My goal as a healthcare provider is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and ultimately feel healthy and happy.

I love treating patients of all ages and medical backgrounds. I am happy to work with your concerns either individually or with the entire family to help make lasting health changes in your household. My special interests include skincare, female health concerns (including prenatal, pregnancy and postnatal care) as well as pediatric care! I have past experience working with children on the autism spectrum as a behavioural therapist as well as in a naturopathic capacity during my internship.

About naturopathic medicine

Naturopathic medicine is a subset of healthcare which focuses on treating patients as a whole person and emphasizes the prevention of disease states. As naturopathic doctors, we try to find the underlying cause of the condition, which includes taking a full health history, doing physical exams, and sometimes may include recommending lab testing. We use natural therapies including but not limited to botanicals, acupuncture, vitamins and supplements, and nutrition and lifestyle counselling to help you achieve both your health goals, and the goals that are necessary to living a healthy, happy life. All licensed naturopathic doctors are clinically trained and have graduated from a 4-year accredited naturopathic medical school, after having completed an undergraduate degree.
